Which ASCENDER report gives me the columns I need?

Short answer

Find the thing you need in the left column, then run the report on the right. Every row links to a page with the parameters and the source.

Finance

I need Run this Where it is
Checks issued this period, by fund, bank account or check number FIN1250 - Check Register Finance > Reports > Finance Reports > Journals, Checks, Detail Ledgers
Checks for a whole year: vendor, check number, check date, amount FIN1800 - Year-to-Date Check Register List Finance > Reports > Finance Reports > Journals, Checks, Detail Ledgers
What a check number paid FIN1800, with From/To Check Nbr Finance > Reports > Finance Reports > Journals, Checks, Detail Ledgers
Vendor, invoice number, amount and PO for deferred checks FIN1700 - Accounts Payable Listing Finance > Reports > Finance Reports > Journals, Checks, Detail Ledgers
Month-end trial balance FIN3250 - Trial Balance Finance > Reports > Finance Reports > Summary/Miscellaneous Reports
Trial balance plus the FASRG audit schedules FIN3200 - Working Trial Balance Finance > Reports > Finance Reports > Summary/Miscellaneous Reports
Every general ledger account FIN3300 - Chart of Accounts Finance > Reports > Finance Reports > Summary/Miscellaneous Reports
A file to import journal entries Import JV Transactions - FIN8900 Finance > Utilities

Payroll and Personnel

I need Run this Where it is
A pay stub HRS2500 - Wage and Earning Statement Payroll > Reports > Payroll Reports
An employee list with columns I choose, as CSV HRS9000 - User Created Report Payroll > Reports, or Personnel > Reports
Every employee with an address HRS1000 - Roster of Personnel Personnel > Reports > Personnel Reports
Employment dates, salary and address HRS1100 - Employee Verification Report Personnel > Reports > Personnel Reports
Only employees paid during a date range HRS1250 - Employee Data Listing Payroll > Reports > Personnel Reports

Before you run any of them

  • Parameters in bold are required.
  • CSV is not available on every report. If the CSV button is greyed out, that report does not export that way, and an exported CSV may not include the report headers.
  • Some Finance reports follow your account code masking. FIN1250, FIN1700 and FIN1800 display information based on the masked account codes in the User Profiles table for the logged-on user, so funds can seem to be missing.
