How do I pull a pay stub in ASCENDER?
Short answer
Run HRS2500 - Wage and Earning Statement, at Payroll > Reports > Payroll Reports > Wage and Earning Statement. ASCENDER says it "contains the same information as the paycheck stub": the employee's name and address, current period and year-to-date earnings and deductions, and leave data.
To pull one person's stub, put their employee number in Select Employee(s).
The detail
The statement can stand in for a check stub for employees paid by direct deposit or EFT, and it can also be used as a salary notification at the start of the school year. Statements print alphabetically by campus, after running calculations or after posting the payroll master file.

Two things that can look wrong but are not:
- The year-to-date earnings come from the calendar year-to-date record, not the fiscal year.
- When total dependent care (employee and/or employer) is over $5,000 for the calendar year, the statement shows an extra deduction line that splits the taxable and nontaxable parts.
The E-mail button is disabled when you choose the Preview Employees with No E-mail option.
